Our Mission: RICK Electrical Contractors, Inc. is committed to "Excellence in Electrical Construction" SM within the residential & commercial markets while providing quality customer service & emerging technology solutions that work. We are: RICK Electrical Contractors, Inc.
The RICK family of electrician's date back to 1942 when some of our ancestors served our country in the United States Navy as electrician's aboard Landing Ship Tank ships (LST's) during WWII (the greatest generation) in the South Pacific and at the Inchon landing during the Korean conflict. Our electrical ancestor history includes the training of Naval recruits to become electricians at the United States Great Lakes Naval Base in Waukegan, IL, the electrical design/installation of the King Tut display at the Chicago Field Museum and the electrical utility engineering design for the expansion of the Moraine Valley Community College located in Palos Hills, IL.
Since the late 1980's, our telecom designs & installations can be found in many Chicago building landmarks such as the: Sears Tower, John Hancock Building, Predential Building, Presidential Towers, Standard Oil Building, Merchandise Mart, Apparel Mart, Chicago E-911 Emergency Response Center, Midway Airport and at numerous power plants located across the United States. In 2010, RICK Electrical
Contractors continues it's legacy in the electrical, telecom & emerging technology industries. Stay tuned for more news as our company will soon be expanding into the Wisconsin, Indiana & Iowa markets.
RICK Electrical Contractors, Inc., located in Sugar Grove, IL was incorporated on September 5, 2003. Our electrical & telecom contracting roots date back to 1987 when we provided CATV, electrical, low voltage, security, video & telecom solutions to custom home builders, home owners & commercial accounts in the southwest Chicagoland suburbs operating under the name of Ricmar Electrical Contractors, Inc. located in Oak Forest, IL. Back in 1987, many electrical contractors did not offer Emerging Technologies, Low Voltage or Telecommunications solutions to their customers. In 1987 our business focus was a little different from our competition, we were already providing Emerging Technology, Low Voltage and Telecommunications solutions to our customers as well as traditional high voltage electrical services. Since our humble beginnings in 1987, we are committed to providing our customers with the most advanced solutions within the electrical & emerging technologies industries.
Today, RICK Electrical Contractors, Inc. specializes in Electrical, Emerging Technologies, Low Voltage & Telecommunications contracting services for the Residential and Commercial markets. In 2010, we continue with our 23 year tradition as being a full service Electrical, Emerging Technologies & Telecommunications contractor while providing "Excellence in Electrical Construction" SM, quality customer service and solutions that work for our customers.
So, why choose RICK Electrical Contractors for your next electrical, telecom or emerging technology solution? The answer is simple: our team is experienced, professional, certified, highly educated in our industry, plus we offer very competitive pricing. We understand all phases of residential/commercial construction & remodeling.
Are you thinking of hiring a handyman instead of a licensed electrician or a licensed electrical contractor for your next electrical project? You may want to re-think the handyman option since the majority of handymen are NOT licensed professional electricians, doubtful if they've completed numerous industry training classes or have successfully passed a rigorous 8 hour electrical licensing examination and most importantly - they are probably not familiar with the electrical safety requirements that must be adhered to within the ever changing National Electrical Code. A licensed electrician has completed years of extensive training and is a professional within their trade. We not only adhere to the National Electrical Code on our every day customer projects, we also teach the National Electrical Code to local Chicago area homebuilders at a major Illinois University. Just ask your handyman if they can match the industry credentials that RICK Electrical Contractors has to offer.... and when they hesitate, call 630-466-RICK. We'll not only get the job done correctly & professionally, we'll also back up our work with our reputation. No matter how small or big your next electrical project is, only insist on hiring a licensed electrician or a licensed electrical contractor professional.
Most important of all, we care about you as our customer, the electrical safety and innovations that we can provide for your home or business. Our business model is simple... we will treat your home or business and wire it as if it were our own. We don't believe in shortcut installation methods and we only use the best electrical industry products. You can count on our commitment and you can count on RICK Electrical Contractors to provide "Excellence in Electrical Construction" for your next electrical project.
